I’m a doctor and enjoy exploring. I trained at Yale-New Haven Hospital followed by two pediatric fellowships. I've worked in Sudan, Nigeria, Thailand, Honduras, and New Zealand.
After living in New Zealand, I spent 9 years at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and on faculty at USC. Along the way I climbed three of the seven summits, raced an ironman, got married, and had two children.
This year I sold my home and hit the road, living in a trailer with my wife, two kids, and dog. I now enjoy filmmaking, writing, and teaching wilderness & survival medicine.
